Abstract

Vaccinating against pneumoencephali-tis—Newcastle disease, pneumo, PE—with the live-virus vaccines has been erroneously greeted as the final answer in the control of this disease. These live-virus vaccines are stop-gap measures. Little thought has been given to the many pitfalls and dangers of these products.
